Tam Vu, DO Joins CRL’s Emergency & Teleradiology Team
Join us in wishing Dr. Tam Vu a warm welcome to CRL’s emergency and radiology team. Dr. Vu is a radiologist originally from northern Virginia. Dr. Vu earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. After undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Vu received his osteopathic medicine degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. After medical school, he moved to New York, NY, for a preliminary medicine internship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he stayed for his diagnostic radiology residency. After completing his residency, he pursued fellowship training in neuroradiology at the University of California Los Angeles.
Dr. Vu tells us that he is “enjoying the consultant role as a subject matter expert for all the other medical specialties to help aid in their medical decision-making process.”
Dr. Vu is an active-duty veteran who served in the Horn of Africa as the embedded flight surgeon with the 56th and 57th Rescue Squadrons to support the Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) mission.
In his free time, he enjoys golf, fantasy football, traveling, cooking, and working.
