Michael Annen, MD, MBA, is an experienced diagnostic radiologist, having spent the last many years practicing for the United States Navy in San Diego, CA.
“I treat each case as a puzzle, and I enjoy trying to ‘solve’ the puzzle and make the correct diagnosis,” he responded when asked what challenges he enjoys most about radiology. “Some are harder than others, but nevertheless, I enjoy the challenge as it makes me a better radiologist. I love that I get to do this every day, knowing that I am contributing to quality patient care.”
Dr. Annen received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He then transferred to the Naval Medical Center in San Diego for his transitional year internship and diagnostic radiology residency.
Dr. Annen’s favorite part of being a radiologist is helping figure out the cause of his patient’s concern, especially in acute settings where his interpretation can significantly impact patient care.
He enjoys playing with his kids, golfing, woodworking, snowboarding, and surfing in his free time.
PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
I strive to make all my interpretations as helpful to referring providers as I can to do my part in helping them provide quality patient care.
