His extensive education began at Tulane University School of Medicine, followed by a comprehensive training journey that combined both surgical and radiological disciplines. Dr. Thompson first honed his surgical skills through a general surgery residency and research fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, deepening his understanding of surgical principles and innovative medical practices.

Building on this foundation, Dr. Thompson transitioned to radiology, completing a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in abdominal radiology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. This diverse medical background equips Dr. Thompson with a valuable perspective that allows him to approach radiological diagnoses with a surgeon’s insight. His unique combination of expertise enables him to provide nuanced interpretations of medical imaging, contributing significantly to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
