Dr. Brittany Albers is a radiologist originally from Shallowater, Texas. Dr. Albers received her medical degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
After medical school, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, for a preliminary medicine internship at the Mayo Clinic Florida. She remained at the Mayo Clinic in Florida for her diagnostic radiology residency, where she served as chief resident for two years. After residency, Dr. Albers completed a pediatric radiology fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University of St. Louis.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Dr. Albers responded, “I enjoy the dynamics of caring for a broad range of patients with highly varied diagnoses.” She elaborated, “This allows me the opportunity to engage with doctors and other providers across the spectrum of medical specialties. Radiology is best viewed as a collaborative partner; in that way, we can all work together to optimize patient outcomes.”
Beyond specialization in pediatric radiology, Dr. Albers has a particular interest and skill in congenital heart disease, differences of sexual development, and oncology imaging.
When she’s not working, she enjoys shopping for vintage and antique goods, managing a jungle of houseplants, and exploring the world at home and abroad.
