Patient experience drives redesign of CRL women’s imaging

MINNEAPOLIS, October 8th, 2015 – It is recommended that every woman over the age of 40 have a Mammogram annually. While some may find themselves apprehensive about the exam, Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. (CRL) is striving to make it a fast and easy experience by providing the latest in Mammography technology in a relaxing environment.

CRL hosted an open house on Tuesday, October 7th at their Southdale location. Many of the CRL radiologists and staff, along with Southdale Medical Building staff, were in attendance to enjoy an evening that celebrates women.

Patients and colleagues of CRL were able to meet the radiologists, technologists, and the nurse navigator for this location.

The event featured tours of the newly redesigned Women’s Imaging suite, “CRL Women’s Imaging,” and showcased the new Affirm Upright Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography) systems.

CRL strives to make each Imaging Center as warm and inviting as possible for our patients reflecting the quality care we provide. The redesign went above and beyond that criteria with warm lighting, comfortable furniture, magnificent artwork, and a color scheme that will give patients a sense of ease prior to their exams.

“We try to make this experience as compassionate as possible,” said Trudi Parker, Medical Director of CRL Imaging Southdale and CRL Women’s Imaging.

“We understand it can be a stressful experience,” said Dr. Parker.

The newly designed suite was designed by BDH & Young and featured artwork by Art Partners Group and local photographer, Jim Mims. Stunning floral arrangements were provided by Rodger Beck.
