Dr. Alekhya Yechoor is a highly qualified radiologist specializing in Abdominal Imaging and a valued member of the Emergency/Teleradiology team at Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina’s Gillings School of Global Public Health in Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Nutrition. This foundational knowledge has equipped Dr. Yechoor with a unique perspective on the importance of holistic patient care.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Yechoor pursued her medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC. Her postgraduate training began with an internal medicine residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. To further enhance her expertise, Dr. Yechoor completed a fellowship in abdominal imaging at the University of Washington. This extensive training has given her a comprehensive understanding of complex abdominal conditions and advanced imaging techniques.
With her extensive and diverse educational background and specialized training, Dr. Yechoor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role in Emergency/Teleradiology. She finds great satisfaction in solving medical puzzles and making a significant impact on patient care. “Each image tells a story, and I find it incredibly rewarding to interpret those stories,” Dr. Yechoor shares. Dr. Yechoor also has a love for travel, which allows her to combine her interests in experiencing new cultures and trying different foods from around the world.
