Biography

Dr. Patrick Hanks, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, earned his medical degree at the University of Nevada Medical School, following a biology degree at Yale University in New Haven, CT. He began his career in Portland, Maine, with an internal medicine internship and the first year of his diagnostic radiology residency at Maine Medical Center. He then finished his radiology residency at the New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

After residency, he completed a fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at Rhode Island Hospital, showcasing his expertise and leadership skills as a co-chief fellow.

When asked why he became a provider, Dr. Hanks replied, “I became a radiologist because I found it to be the most fascinating subspecialty in medicine, well suited to my abilities, and a great opportunity to positively impact patient care.” Over the years, Dr.

Hanks has gained insights from his patients, sharing, “I have learned that they often have the answer to their own diagnosis in their history.”

He tells us that he enjoys the opportunity to work as a team member in patient care. Dr. Hanks has a keen interest in acute care and thoracic, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary radiology. He is passionate about “making the most of my opportunity to help others and grow.”

Dr. Hanks takes immense pride in his children, a testament to his dedication as a parent. Reflecting on his life, he cherishes milestones like graduating from Yale University, becoming a physician, marrying an incredible woman, and raising two wonderful sons.
